What the 2026 Bond Means for Fort Worth's Future

April 30, 2026 | 12:00p - 1:30p

@ Cresent Hotel

Event Location Address

The City of Fort Worth is facing a pivotal moment in 2026 as residents prepare to vote on a critical bond program that will determine the future of our rapidly growing community. While elected officials are legally prohibited from directly advocating for the bond's passage, the Real Estate Council of Greater Fort Worth (REC of GFW) is hosting a special luncheon to provide our members with an insider's perspective on this important initiative.

Join us on April 30th as Mayor Mattie Parker shares an overview of the key components of the 2026 bond program, including proposed investments in infrastructure, economic development, and quality-of-life enhancements. Following the mayor's presentation, we will hear from Brian Newby, the chair of Together Fort Worth - the political action committee leading the campaign to promote the bond's passage. Newby will discuss the coalition's strategy and the critical role the business community can play in ensuring the bond's success.

Rounding out the program will be remarks from REC of GFW Chairman Travis Clegg, who will articulate why this bond is so important for the continued growth and prosperity of our region. As the voice of the commercial real estate industry, the REC of GFW is uniquely positioned to understand the bond's impact on development, job creation, and the overall competitiveness of Fort Worth.

This luncheon offers a rare opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of the 2026 bond program directly from the city's leadership and the key stakeholders driving the campaign. We encourage all REC of GFW members to attend, learn more about this pivotal initiative, and consider how you can lend your support to strengthen Fort Worth's future.
