Weatherford is one of the fastest-growing cities in North Texas. Join the Real Estate Council of Greater Fort Worth for What's Up in Weatherford, a candid conversation with the local leaders shaping the city’s growth.
The event will bring together leaders from the City of Weatherford and the development community to address the questions our members are asking most about the city’s continued growth. Panelists will discuss what's happening with traffic and toll lanes, how the region is preparing for the next decade of population growth, which employers and corporate headquarters may be headed this way and how infrastructure is keeping pace with new schools and housing.
The conversation will also explore downtown revitalization, the future of land use across industrial, office and retail, plans for entertainment venues, and the outlook for Weatherford College and other higher-education expansion.
Expect a grounded discussion on Weatherford's growth trajectory, including the infrastructure needed to support new development, how local governments are coordinating as the region expands and the economic forces drawing new business, jobs and investment to the area.

Chad Marbut, PE, MPA
Assistant City Manager
City of Weatherford
Chad Marbut serves as Assistant City Manager for the City of Weatherford, a role he moved into in October 2024 after serving as Director of Public Works since 2022. He has been with the city since 2015, starting as a capital projects engineer, and brings deep experience in infrastructure design and construction, capital improvements and public/private partnership coordination. Marbut holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and a Master of Public Administration, is a registered Professional Engineer, and is a member of the Texas City Management Association and the International City/County Management Association. He also serves as a Major in the U.S. Air Force Reserve, supporting the Installation and Mission Support Center for Pacific Air Forces Command.
Maddie Parker
Economic Development Coordinator
City of Weatherford
Maddie Parker serves as Economic Development Coordinator for the City of Weatherford, supporting site selection, incentive coordination, market data and cross-department collaboration for the city's Economic Development Department. She holds a business degree from the University of New Mexico.
Ashley Seiler
Director of Economic Development
City of Weatherford
Ashley Seiler leads economic development for the City of Weatherford, a role she stepped into in 2024 after serving as assistant director since July 2023. In her position, she leads efforts to advance business growth, attract investment and strengthen Weatherford's appeal to employers and talent. Before joining the city, Seiler built a career in corporate sales leadership, including as a district sales leader for PepsiCo. She has also served in the Air National Guard for 14 years, including two overseas tours, and continues to support the Mission Support Group with the North Dakota Air National Guard.
