Near Southside Inc
Mike is president of Near Southside, Inc., the non-profit economic and community
development organization leading the revitalization of Fort Worth’s historic Near
Southside. This eclectic mixed-use district is home to six world-class healthcare
anchors and a rapidly growing creative sector. The widely renowned work of
the district’s artists, musicians, and arts organizations led the Texas Commission on the Arts to recognize the Near Southside as a state-designated cultural district in 2020.
Mike became NSI’s president in 2018 after leading the organization’s planning and development efforts for 12 years. In addition to initiating placemaking projects and administering the Near Southside’s Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ), NSI is also responsible for a wide variety of community-focused promotional programs,
including festivals and events that attract thousands, and a wide range of business assistance initiatives.
Mike received a master's degree in urban planning from Harvard's Graduate School of Design and worked in the City of Fort Worth’s Planning Department prior to joining NSI. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Fort Worth Transportation Authority (Trinity Metro) and on the Fort Worth City Plan Commission. He was a founding leader of Fort Worth’s bike-sharing system and continues to be closely involved with its expansion.

Shawn Lassiter is the Chief of Equity and Innovation at Leadership ISD with over 12 years of experience in education, nonprofit, and government sectors disrupting systems of racism, dismantling inequities, and promoting unity that is building bridges across communities.Â
From her time in the classroom to her experiences facilitating change across organizations, she has worked to promote transformation and racial consciousness at the personal, professional, & organizational levels of this work.Â
Shawn is passionate, devoted, and unapologetically committed to creating systems that work for our communities that have been historically underserved. Her experience includes, but is not limited to, high school science teacher, Executive Director of Program Development/Curriculum & Instruction, HS Assistant Principal, Professional Learning & Innovation Specialist, Equity Transformation & Innovation Specialist, as well as a Racial Equity Facilitator.Â
She has an exceptional ability to create an environment for learning, leadership, and teamwork while ensuring the integrity of the organization’s missions and goals.Â
Given her unique set of experiences and training, her call to facilitate conversations about race and the role it plays in the education and municipal system was innate. Her skills and knowledge are a culmination of her time at Alabama State University, as well as her studies in Public Administration and Urban Development at the Forbes School of Business, which has allowed her to effectively craft and share her expertise in racial equity, urban development, strategic planning and implementing efficient systems for school districts, higher education, nonprofits, and government entities.Â

Stacy E. Marshall serves as President & CEO of Southeast Fort Worth, Inc. Prior to joining Southeast Fort Worth, Inc., Marshall served as President and CEO of the Lancaster chamber of commerce and worked in Business Development and as a Consultant for various nonprofit and for profit organizations.
Stacy, who was born and raised in Mississippi, in a small community with a big heart, has been an advocate for community growth his entire career. Stacy has been widely recognized for his leadership in strategic planning and growing businesses in the community with a grassroots approach.

Isaac Manning Jr. was born and raised in Fort Worth and is a proud Paschal Panther Class of 2010. He went on to continue his studies at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill graduating in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in History. Isaac worked various jobs between graduation and his current role at Trinity Works including substitute teaching, landscaping, running for a law firm, and data collection for a geospatial software start up in 2015 called T^O. In 2017 he received his Real Estate License and began working for Trinity Works. The next year he began the Master of Science in Real Estate at the University of Texas at Arlington and graduated in 2020. Isaac is involved with ULI Young Leaders and Streams and Valleys. Isacc is also a Trinity Metro board member and Founding Board member of the National Juneteenth Museum.
