Christie worked as a Chief of Staff and lobbyist in Austin, Texas, for 20 years. While working as a lobbyist, Christie represented clients in the following industries: oil and gas, energy, tourism and amusement, transportation, veterans' affairs, juvenile justice, family law, corrections, education, child support, homeowners association interest, software development, and foster care. She served as a City Councilwoman and as a board member on the Cedar Park Economic Development Corporation board.  Upon returning to the Metroplex, she obtained her real estate license and started a consulting business focused on economic development and public policy.  Christie was hired by the City of Fort Worth for Economic Development.  She primarily focused on energy, strategic real estate development, and film.  Christie left Fort Worth to become the Director of Targeted Attraction and State Affairs for the Arlington Economic Development Corporation.

With over 20 years of expertise in the Texas state legislative process, Rebecca brings a wealth of experience to the table. Rebecca's background is diverse, having spearheaded winning coalitions on a range of critical issues including Economic Development, Transportation, Healthcare, Energy, Environmental, Education, and Oil & Gas. Prior to her career in public policy, she served as a pediatric nurse. The challenges faced by her patients in accessing managed care benefits fueled her passion for advocacy, leading her to the Capitol to champion their rights.
