The Community Affairs Committee recognizes that workforce development is a major issue in our industry. For that reason, we have partnered with the T3 Partnership to develop a survey that will give us a better feel for what your company is looking for as you hire new employees.
Please take a few minutes to give us your thoughts. If you feel like there is someone better in your company to answer this, please feel free to forward this to them and ask them to complete our survey.
We are leaving the survey open until Friday, April 15, and will send a few reminders to encourage you to take the survey (or find someone in your company who will).
Once we have this data in hand, we will work with T3 Partnerships to assess the information and begin to connect with FWISD students (and the other 21 school districts in Fort Worth) who might have an interest in our industries. We are hoping to produce a career fair, take students on field trips to introduce them to various aspects of commercial real estate, and hold a job fair that will help you find the employees you need.
In the meantime, we are teaming up with the Fort Worth Chamber, the City of Fort Worth and FWISD to host a Job Fair on April 14. They have created a portal where you can submit jobs and internships you have available so students can apply.
