Recap: The Future of Water and Power in North Texas

As North Texas continues its rapid growth, the region’s ability to manage water supply and power demand is being put to the test. On September 25, leaders in infrastructure and utility services gathered to discuss these challenges—and the opportunities they present—at a special breakfast program hosted by the Real Estate Council of Greater Fort Worth.

Moderated by James Hill, the conversation featured insights from Dan Buhman, General Manager of the Tarrant Regional Water District, and Wilson Peppard, Regional Director at Oncor.

Throughout the panel, speakers underscored the interdependency of water and power. Energy is essential to treat and move water; water is essential for power generation. Solving one without the other isn’t an option.

Moderator James Hill asked thoughtful questions about funding, public engagement and innovation, prompting candid dialogue about what’s working—and what still needs work.

This event would not have been possible without the support of our sponsors, Muckleroy & Falls and The Rios Group. Thank you for investing in these important conversations.
